Sunset near Pinnacle Mountain
For me it’s a rare event when I can shoot directly at the sun and not totally overexpose it. On this afternoon near Pinnacle State Park, there was a lot of haze in the sky and it acted as a perfect filter. As the sun set lower in the sky it picked up a deep red color. I still shot this in 5 exposures so I could control the highlights and the dark areas around lake Mamuelle. I used a Canon 1D MKiv and the 70-300 mm lens at 300.
