Here is a view of Richland Creek taken in 2005. This particular year was a very dry year and by the end of November Richland and other surrounding creeks were almost totally dry. This photograph was taken at Bill’s Thrill Rapid. Since there was no current running and the water was just in pools, all the leaves that had fallen were just collected in the pool. I have never seen a situation like this before or after on this creek. If you look to the back of the photograph you can see the various trees just starting to turn to their fall colors.
