02/23/10 Photograph of the Day–Springtime view of Bass Arkansas
By paul. Filed in Photograph of the Day |The valley of Bass is one of the more remote places in Arkansas. It’s best reached from Hwy 374 and Mt Judea. There are a few homesite and an old school house. One of the best views of the Valley of the Buffalo National River can be enjoyed from the large mountain in the middle left of the image. The road wraps around the mountain before heading down to Mt. Judea and on the bend offers the sweeping views of the valley. This shot shows the effect of using a CL-PL on a wide angle lens as the sky is darkening from the left to right side. I decided on this particular photograph that I liked the effect.
