One of my favorite photographs. While on a hike on the Cossatot River I found this spot in a backwater in a rapid called the Esses. On the hike up the river I had stopped by this same spot but the foam entirely covered the water and it didn’t attract me. On the way back, I looked at this spot again and the foam had broken into this wonderful pattern. The setting sun added just the right amount of warmth to the photograph.
