Oak Tree in the Morning Fog on Roark Bluff (Click on Photograph to Purchase)

Oak Tree in the Morning Fog on Roark Bluff (Click on Photograph to Purchase)

While I was waiting for the morning fog to lift on Roark Bluff, I found this lone branch extending out over the edge of the bluff.  As the light was trying to burn through the fog, it gave the branch a great illumination and I felt called for a photograph.

Foggy Morning in Lost Valley (Click on Photograph to Purchase)

Foggy Morning in Lost Valley (Click on Photograph to Purchase)

I found this lone tree in the early morning fog in Lost Valley, in the Boxley Valley on the Buffalo National River.  Lost Valley has some of the most outstanding photography opportunities in all of Arkansas.  You can find something to photograph there any time of the year.

Twin Trees on the Delta (Click on Image to Purchase)

I found these two trees near Lake Village while on a shoot I was working on for the Arkansas Game and Fish.  The way the sky and trees were framed just caught my eye.

Wintertime View from Flatside Pinnacle January 2009 (Click on photograph to purchase)

This view to the West was taken in Late January 2009 the day after the big ice storm.  The trees all had a nice coating of ice and as the sun came out the light made everything pop!  I loved the light haze that was forming over the hills in the distance.

January Day on Richland Creek (Click on image to Purchase)

January Day on Richland Creek (Click on image to Purchase)

This landscape Photograph of Richland creek was taken in January of 2004.  I had a perfectly clear day, with only high clouds.  For landscape  I used a 35mm camera and shot the image with the camera in the portrait orientation and took the image in segments.  The segments are then put together (stitched) to create the final image.  This  allows  for a much greater output resolution when printing the image.

Sunset from the West Face of Pinnacle Mountain (Click on image to purchase)

Here is shot of a snowy sunset taken from Pinnacle State park, looking to the West.  I had hoped that Arkansas would get some snow on Christmas Eve, but it didn’t pan out.  Pinnacle offers a great 360 degree view of the beginning of the Ouachita Mountains.

Shaw's Folly Rapid on Richland Creek December 2005 (To purchase a copy click on photograph)

One of my favorite views of Richand Creek, Shaws Folly Rapid.  This shot was taken in Mid December of 2005, enough water to paddle and I was surprised not to run into any kayakers that day.

Shaw's Folly Rapid Wintertime on Richland Creek (Click on Photograph to purchase)

Richland Creek will be running a bit higher today due to the rain from the last few days, but this is a good shot to show what it can look like on a clear winter day.  As all the trees are out of leaf, I tend to focus more on the rocks and work more close in.  It can be especially nice if there is ice coating the rocks.

Wintertime View from Sam's Throne (Click on Photograph to purchase)

One of the best Vistas in Arkansas is the view from Sam’s Throne.  You can look all the north or the valley of Mt Judea and Red Rock.  This particular view is to the west and features the bluff line of Sam’s Throne  and the Throne itself.
